The Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF) acknowledged our recent multi-country project as a 'success story' at its November Annual Assembly in Brussels.
Our small project 'Communities, Classrooms and Civil Society: Sharing experience and developing regional approaches to addressing the rights and needs of children with disabilities in Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine' was featured as a success story in a publication generated by the EaP CSF for its 2016 Annual Assembly. This event brought together over 200 representatives from civil society organisations, EU institutions and governments from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
This project sought to galvanise regional commitment to supporting the rights and needs of children with disabilities and to facilitate exchange between professionals from Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine. As part of the project, a Regional Forum event was held in Kiev, Ukraine which brought together multi-sectoral professionals working in child disability from each country to share experience and expertise. This project was jointly supported by the EaP CSF, the European Commission, the National Endowment for Democracy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
