Last Friday, HealthProm's Ukrainian community came together for another memorable day exploring London's rich history, this time visiting the iconic Tower of London.

Despite the summer heat, participants enjoyed a wonderful day discovering one of the UK's most famous historic landmarks. The group wandered through the ancient fortress, took in the beautiful views of the River Thames, learned about centuries of royal history, and admired the spectacular Crown Jewels.

It was especially heartening to welcome many familiar faces, with several participants returning for their second or even third HealthProm community outing. Families with young children and teenagers also joined us, creating a warm, friendly atmosphere and giving everyone the opportunity to connect, share experiences and enjoy a day out together.

These trips are about much more than sightseeing. They provide opportunities for refugees and displaced families to build friendships, improve wellbeing, practise English in a relaxed environment and feel more connected to their new communities. Shared experiences like these help reduce social isolation while celebrating London's rich cultural heritage.

We are incredibly grateful to our partners, Historic Royal Palaces, for making this visit possible and helping our beneficiaries experience one of the country's most treasured historic sites.
