Last week, HealthProm was delighted to support a Women Empowerment Day for Ukrainian refugee women, organised by Central District Alliance.
The event brought together Ukrainian women with volunteers from businesses including Sidara and Argus Media, creating a welcoming space for participants to develop their professional skills, ask questions and build new connections.
The day featured a panel discussion, giving women the opportunity to hear directly from professionals and learn from their experiences. This was followed by practical CV and interview workshops, where participants received personalised advice to help them present their skills and experience with greater confidence.
Networking was also an important part of the day, giving participants the chance to meet professionals from a range of organisations and begin building relationships that could support their future career goals.
The event was a great success, with enthusiastic participation throughout the day. For refugee women who are rebuilding their lives in the UK, opportunities to access professional networks, understand the UK employment environment and receive personalised career support can be particularly valuable.
