The Gateway to Education Project

In February 2024, we launched a project to provide additional educational support and social activities for Ukrainian and Afghan Refugees. The project is funded by the Department for Levelling Up under the Children and Young People's Resettlement Fund. HealthProm was 1 of 11 organisations selected to undertake new projects that support young migrants and refugees in the UK. Driven by our experience collaborating with Afghan and Ukrainian communities in London and abroad, we will offer educational assistance and well-being support for 200 children to help improve their transition and educational outcomes in North London and Hertfordshire.

Masood Amer is leading this exciting project. He is the former United Nations Development Programme Assistant Country Director to Afghanistan and long-time HealthProm Project Manager. HealthProm also works in collaboration with the Afghan Association of London to carry out the project and support young refugees.

The project is set to complete in March 2025 and we will post updates on our progress throughout the year.
